Today, we got in depth with Ernest Hemingway and the Six-Word Stories concept. Ernest Miller Hemingway was an American journalist, novelist, short-story writer, and noted sportsman in the 20th century, he won the Nobel Prize in Literature. One of his most famous stories “For Sale: Baby Shoes: Never Worn” is such a provocative short story that sparked many theories, it is said that he allegedly wrote this story for a bet with his friends, but it is actually false according to this article from Snopes. Moreover, this short story has many theories of explanations, I think that it talks about a miscarried baby from his wife, thus, he simply sold the shoes because no one will wear them, or maybe the child had some sort of deformity in his legs, or maybe the wife had died while being pregnant. Some of my favorite six-word story examples are "Painfully, he changed ‘is' to ‘was’.”and "The smallest coffins are the heaviest.”
I’m looking forward to what we will do next.
